Armed with their new custom built 800 HP 454 CI Dougan small block Chevy powerplant, the CANIDAE Racing team is ready to take on their first offroad race of the 2011 season, the 17th annual SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge race in Laughlin, Nevada on January 14, 2011.

This unique, spectator friendly event promises to thrill fans not only during the race, but also at the famous Laughlin Leap beforehand. This year CANIDAE Racing will have a special passenger inside the race truck for this pre-race jump competition. CANIDAE Racing auctioned off the navigator's seat to the highest bidder with all proceeds to benefit injured Baja 1000 motocross rider Justin ImHof and his family.

The charity auction was held January 8th at Oakley Headquarters in Foothill Ranch, California. In addition to the seat aboard the 800 HP CANIDAE Trophy Truck for the exciting Laughlin Leap, many generous companies and individuals donated other highly coveted items to the auction raising thousands of dollars for the injured rider and his family. Marlon Coffman of Abilene, Texas was the highest bidder for the CANIDAE Trophy Truck's navigator seat.

When racing begins on Saturday after the Laughlin Leap, fans will enjoy the two mile long infield section of a desert race course dense with jumps and turns. There will be grandstand seating and a large video projection in the middle of it all so race fans won’t miss a second of the action.

With a highly successful rookie season behind them in this ultra competitive class, drivers Scott Whipple and Scott Gailey are determined to turn their experience and new racing technology into podium finishes.
