CANIDAE Racing Trophy Truck Heads to Parker, Arizona for First 2011 Desert Race

CANIDAE Racing will begin the 2011 Best in the Desert racing series at the season kick off, the famed Parker 425. Held on the banks of the beautiful Colorado River in Parker, Arizona, this race is always extremely popular with competitors and spectators alike. This year will produce record entries of more than 30 teams in the elite Trick Truck (aka Trophy Truck) class and almost 300 other cars and trucks in 20 different classes.

After the racers qualify for starting positions on a special 7 mile track on Thursday, February 3rd, the race will begin on Saturday morning and consist of three 142-mile laps in the brutal Arizona desert. At the end of each lap, the contestants will race through the “Parker Python,” an 8 mile course littered with jumps and bumps which will also be the main pit section. The CANIDAE Racing team returns this year after being close to a top 3 finish last year, only to have fatal motor issues on the last lap. To ensure the team does not have the same issues this year, CANIDAE Racing has installed an 800 HP 454 CI Dougan small block Chevy.

If you cannot make it to the Parker 425, there are several ways to keep track of the CANIDAE Racing team as they strive for the podium.
