In 1972, as the dragsters had gone rear-engine, Big Jim Dunn thought why not a Funny Car? He went on to win what is still the only rear-engine victory at a NHRA national event at the 1972 Supernationals at Ontario Motor Speedway in California with his sometimes temperamental Barracuda.
