The CANIDAE Racing Team is ready to take on the Best in the Desert Bilek Racing Silver State "300" in Nevada, having re-built their 800 HP 454 CI Dougan powered Trophy Truck after last month's Mint 400 race.

The CANIDAE Racing Team was near the front of the pack for the Mint 400 race near Las Vegas in March. Unofficial reports showed the CANIDAE team in 5th place at the end of lap one of this grueling four lap race. However, the team suffered a setback during lap two when driver Scott Whipple and co-driver Johnny Stroschein pushed the truck a little too hard and got bit on the famous qualifying jump and rolled the truck several times. Although attempts were made to repair the truck, getting it back on the course unfortunately wasn’t possible.

Now ready to take on the famous BitD Silver State "300", Team CANIDAE is prepared to battle with hundreds of competitors in their attempt to reach the podium. The race is comprised of one 300 mile loop and has some of the most scenic country racers may ever see all in the great high desert of Eastern Nevada.

The course will have a mixture of high-desert mountains, sand-washes, and panoramic views that will make racers want to stop their race vehicle and just take it all in. Teams will race through the Pahroc Summit area where they will see unbelievable rock formations, the Dalamar Valley, where the ghost town of Dalamar was located and where gold was discovered in 1890, the Cathedral Gorge area and much more.

Race headquarters will be in the exciting city of Las Vegas, at the Aliante Station Hotel & Casino, close to US-95 and I-15.  Registration, Tech Inspection and Contingency will be held on Friday, April 29, and the race will take place on Saturday, April 30.  The start line is in Alamo and the finish line will be south of the Alamo area.
